The Bluff® Steel Red Pin Heavy Duty Dock Board is designed to provide a robust solution for challenging angled parking situations, such as when a trailer cannot reach the dock (commonly known as park-out). It features dual positioning pins on each side for added flexibility and safety, allowing it to accommodate refrigerated trailers and overseas containers. The dock board is equipped with full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins positioned on 2" centers for enhanced adjustability and safety. Its design allows trucks below dock level to utilize the board without needing to turn it around. It also includes fold-down 11"W x 4"H lifting loops (on 27" centers) for easy forklift transport, while contoured curbs help prevent runoffs and protect forklift tires. Constructed from all-welded steel, this dock board is suitable for high-traffic, multiple-shift docks and incorporates one 7° bend 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end. The dock board complies with OSHA specifications 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. The capacity is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck and is rated for equipment speeds of 3 mph maximum. It is important to note that stackers and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on the dock board. The usable width is 6" less than the overall width, and the width should exceed the lift truck or load width by 12". The HT" difference up indicates the height difference above the dock, with a 14% grade applicable to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, and a 19% grade for gas-powered forklifts. The application height can reach up to 10" above dock or 4" below dock with propane or gas forklifts and up to 8" above dock or 4" below dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
