The Bluff® Steel Red Pin Heavy Duty Dock Board is designed for challenging angled parking scenarios, particularly beneficial when trailers cannot reach the dock. It features dual positioning pins on each side for enhanced flexibility and safety, making it suitable for refrigerated trailers and overseas containers. The dock board includes full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins positioned on 2" centers for improved adjustability and security. This product allows trucks below dock level to utilize the board without necessitating a turn. Additionally, it has fold-down 11"W x 4"H lifting loops located on 27" centers for convenient forklift transport and positioning. The contoured curbs prevent runoffs and protect forklift tires from damage, while its all-welded steel construction ensures durability for high-traffic, multiple-shift docks. The kit comes with one 7° bend positioned 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end. It complies with OSHA Spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI Spec. MH30.2. The dock board's capacity is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for equipment speeds of up to 3 mph. For optimal use, the board's width should exceed the lift truck or load by 12", and the usable width is 6" less than the overall width. Application height can reach up to 11" above the dock or 4.5" below the dock when using propane or gas forklifts, and up to 8.5" above the dock or 4.5" below the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks. The grade capacity is 14% for pallet trucks and electric forklifts, while it is 19% for gas-powered forklifts.
