The Bluff® Steel Red Pin Heavy Duty Dock Board features dual positioning pins on each side for enhanced flexibility and safety, designed to address difficult angled parking situations where a trailer cannot reach the dock, commonly known as park-out. It is flexible enough to accommodate refrigerated trailers and overseas containers, constructed with full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins spaced on 2" centers to provide increased adjustability and safety. The board can be used by trucks below dock level without turning it around and includes fold-down lifting loops measuring 11"W x 4"H on 27" centers to facilitate forklift transport and positioning. Contoured curbs prevent runoffs and forklift tire damage. Made of all-welded steel for durability in high-traffic, multiple-shift dock environments, the dock board includes one 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend located 8" from the truck end. It complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. The capacity rating reflects the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, suitable for equipment speeds up to 3 mph; however, stackers and narrow aisle loaders are not recommended for use with this dock board. The width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with usable width being 6" less than the overall width. The height difference above the dock is designated as ht". A 14% grade applies to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, while a 19% grade applies to gas-powered forklifts. The application height accommodates up to 11" above the dock or 4.5" below dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 8.5" above dock or 4.5" below dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
