The Bluff® Steel Red Pin Heavy Duty Dock Board features dual positioning pins on each side, enhancing flexibility and safety for challenging angled parking situations where trailers cannot easily access the dock, commonly referred to as park-out scenarios. This dock board is capable of accommodating refrigerated trailers and overseas containers, thanks to its full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins positioned on 2" centers for added adjustability and safety. Trucks below dock level can utilize the board without the need for repositioning, while the fold-down 11"W x 4"H lifting loops positioned on 27" centers facilitate easy forklift transport and positioning. The design includes contoured curbs to prevent runoffs and protect forklift tires from damage, constructed with all-welded steel to endure high-traffic, multiple-shift dock environments. The dock board includes one 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend positioned 8" from the truck end. It complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. Notably, the capacity is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for equipment speeds of up to 3 mph, and is not designed for use with stackers or narrow aisle loaders. The width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with a usable width that is 6" less than the overall width. The HT" difference up represents the height difference above the dock, with a 14% grade applicable to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, and a 19% grade for gas-powered forklifts. Application height ranges up to 13" above the dock or 5.5" below the dock when using a propane or gas forklift, and up to 10" above the dock or 5.5" below the dock with an electric forklift or pallet jack.
