The Bluff® Steel Red Pin heavy duty dock board features dual positioning pins on each side for added flexibility and safety, making it ideal for difficult angled parking situations where a trailer cannot reach the dock (park-out). It is flexible enough to accommodate refrigerated trailers and overseas containers. The dock board includes full-length side pockets and four 1" diameter high-strength locking pins on 2" centers for increased adjustability and safety, allowing trucks below dock level to use the board without turning it around. Fold-down lifting loops measuring 11"W x 4"H on 27" centers enable easy forklift transport and positioning. Contoured curbs prevent runoffs and forklift tire damage, while the all-welded steel construction supports high-traffic, multiple-shift docks. The package includes one 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend situated 8" from the truck end. It complies with OSHA specification 1910.30(a) and ANSI specification MH30.2. Capacity is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for equipment speeds up to 3 mph, with stackers and narrow aisle loaders not recommended for use on the dock board. The width should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with the usable width being 6" less than the overall width. The height difference ("ht") up refers to how far above the dock the board extends. A 14% grade applies to pallet trucks and electric forklifts, while a 19% grade applies to gas powered forklifts. The application height ranges up to 9" above dock or 3.5" below dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 7" above dock or 3.5" below dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
