The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 3 inches in diameter by 3 inches in width and features 60 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, providing fast continuous cut and long-life performance. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours, making it suitable for sanding and shaping various materials such as wood, fiberglass, and ferrous alloys. It is designed to fit onto a rubber wheel attachment like a cushion polishing wheel or rubber slotted expander wheel, both used with a die grinder or rotary drill (attachments sold separately). Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, the band offers a fast cut-rate, durability, and is widely used in metalworking and woodworking. The resin bond ensures the abrasive stays adhered to the cloth backing, withstanding high heat and pressure. The band is available in multiple widths and lengths to accommodate different contours and tasks and is commonly used for blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing in metal fabrication industries.
