The 3M™ abrasive cloth band 341D measures 1-1/2" diameter by 1-1/2" width and features 60 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing for fast continuous cutting and long-life performance. Designed as a spiral band or short tube, it conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping, making it suitable for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. The 341D cloth band fits onto a rubber wheel attachment, such as a cushion polishing wheel or a rubber slotted expander wheel (sold separately), for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it offers a fast cut-rate, durability, and long life, making it ideal for a wide variety of materials including ferrous alloys, commonly used in woodworking and metalworking industries. The resin bond ensures abrasive particles adhere strongly to the cloth backing, withstanding high heat and pressure. Available in various widths and lengths to suit different contours and tasks, these bands are frequently used in foundry work and applications such as blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing.
