The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 3/4" diameter by 1" width and features 60 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping, offering fast continuous cut and long-life performance. It is designed for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. The 3M™ abrasive cloth band 341D fits onto a rubber wheel attachment, such as a cushion polishing wheel or rubber slotted expander wheel, used with a die grinder or rotary drill. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, the band is favored in industrial settings for its fast cut-rate, durability, and suitability for a wide variety of materials, including ferrous alloys. The resin bond ensures that the abrasive particles adhere strongly to the cloth backing, resisting high heat and pressure. The bands are available in various widths and lengths to accommodate different contours and tasks and are commonly utilized in foundry work.
