The IKO cam follower-inch features a caged design, screwdriver slot, with a 1/2" outer diameter (OD), and a 3/8" width, equipped with a No. 10-32 thread. IKO cam followers are composed of needle rollers, a stud acting inner ring raceway, and a thick-walled outer ring, making them capable of withstanding heavy rolling or shock loads. They are available with either cylindrical or crowned outer rings, where the crowned design helps to alleviate uneven loads caused by deflection, bending, or misalignment during mounting. Two internal designs are offered: one with a cage for high-speed applications and another with a full complement for handling heavy loads. These cam followers serve as follower bearings for cam mechanisms or linear motions and are commonly used in machine tools, industrial robots, electronic devices, and office automation equipment due to their high rigidity and accuracy. The cam followers are pre-packed with grease to ensure sufficient lubrication, which is also essential between the cam followers and the steel track they run on to prevent seizure and minimize friction. An appropriate nut is included with the stud for assembly.
