The IKO cam follower is a caged type with a hex hole, featuring a 5/8" OD and a width of 7/16". It includes a 1/4 - 28 thread and is designed to endure heavy rolling or shock loads through its construction of needle rollers, a stud acting inner ring raceway, and a thick-walled outer ring. Available with either cylindrical or crowned outer rings, the crowned design helps to mitigate uneven loads due to deflection, bending, or misalignment during mounting. This kit offers two internal designs: one featuring a cage for high-speed applications and another with a full complement for handling heavy loads. IKO cam followers operate effectively as follower bearings for cam mechanisms or linear motions and are widely utilized in machine tools, industrial robots, electronic devices, and office automation equipment, ensuring high rigidity and accuracy. Each cam follower is supplied with pre-packed grease, and it is recommended to maintain sufficient lubrication between the cam follower and the steel track to prevent seizure and reduce friction. Additionally, an appropriate nut is included with the stud for secure installation.
