The IKO cam follower is designed with a caged, screwdriver slot and features a 7/8" OD, 1/2" width, and a 3/8 - 24 thread. This robust cam follower consists of needle rollers, a stud acting inner ring raceway, and a thick-walled outer ring, enabling it to endure heavy rolling or shock loads. Available with either cylindrical or crowned outer rings, the crowned option effectively alleviates uneven loads resulting from deflection, bending, or misalignment during mounting. There are two internal designs; one incorporates a cage for high-speed applications, while the other offers a full complement configuration for heavy loads. Ideal for cam mechanisms and linear motions, these cam followers are widely utilized in machine tools, industrial robots, electronic devices, and office automation equipment due to their high rigidity and accuracy. The cam followers come pre-packed with grease, although additional lubrication is necessary between the cam followers and the steel track to prevent seizure and reduce friction. Each unit is accompanied by an appropriate nut for the stud.
