The IKO cam follower is a full complement design featuring a screwdriver slot, with specifications including a 1" outer diameter (OD), 5/8" width, and 7/16 - 20 thread. This cam follower is constructed with needle rollers, a stud acting inner ring raceway, and a thick-walled outer ring, which enable it to withstand heavy rolling or shock loads. The product is available with either cylindrical or crowned outer rings; the crowned design helps alleviate uneven loads caused by deflection, bending, or misalignment during mounting. It offers two internal designs: one with a cage suitable for high speeds and another with a full complement for handling heavy loads. These cam followers serve as follower bearings for cam mechanisms or linear motions and are commonly utilized in machine tools, industrial robots, electronic devices, and office automation equipment due to their high rigidity and accuracy. Each cam follower is supplied with pre-packed grease, and ample lubrication is necessary between the cam followers and the steel track for optimal performance, preventing seizure and reducing friction. Additionally, an appropriate nut is provided with the stud.
