The IKO cam follower is designed with a caged, hex hole, and double sealed configuration, featuring a 3/4" outer diameter (OD) and a 1/2" width, with a 3/8 - 24 thread. This cam follower utilizes needle rollers, a stud acting inner ring raceway, and a thick-walled outer ring to effectively withstand heavy rolling or shock loads. Available with either cylindrical or crowned outer rings, the crowned design mitigates uneven loads due to deflection, bending, or misalignment in mounting. There are two internal designs: one equipped with a cage for high-speed applications and another with a full complement for handling heavy loads. These cam followers serve as follower bearings for cam mechanisms or linear motions and are commonly used in machine tools, industrial robots, electronic devices, and office automation equipment, thanks to their high rigidity and precision. Pre-packed grease is included for lubrication, and additional lubrication between the cam followers and the steel track is necessary to prevent seizure and reduce friction. Each unit is supplied with an appropriate nut for the stud.
