The Iko cam follower is designed for robust applications, featuring a caged design with a screwdriver slot, double-sealed construction, and dimensions of 1" outer diameter (OD) and 5/8" width, equipped with a 7/16 - 20 thread. These cam followers consist of needle rollers, a stud acting inner ring raceway, and a thick-walled outer ring, allowing them to withstand heavy rolling or shock loads. Available with either cylindrical or crowned outer rings, the crowned design helps alleviate uneven loads caused by deflection, bending, or misalignment during mounting. The cam followers come in two internal designs: one with a cage for high-speed applications and another with a full complement configuration for handling heavy loads. Ideal for cam mechanisms or linear motions, these cam followers are extensively used in machine tools, industrial robots, electronic devices, and office automation equipment due to their high rigidity and accuracy. They are pre-packed with grease, and additional lubrication between the cam followers and the steel track is necessary to prevent seizure and reduce friction. An appropriate nut is included with the stud for installation.
