The IKO cam follower is an inch-sized, caged component featuring a screwdriver slot with a 1-3/8" outer diameter and a 3/4" width, equipped with a 1/2 - 20 thread. Constructed with needle rollers, a stud acting inner ring raceway, and a thick-walled outer ring, this cam follower is designed to withstand heavy rolling or shock loads. Available with either cylindrical or crowned outer rings, the crowned design mitigates uneven loads due to deflection, bending, or misalignment during mounting. It offers two internal designs: one with a cage for high speed and another with a full complement for heavy loads. These cam followers serve as follower bearings for cam mechanisms or linear motions, making them suitable for applications in machine tools, industrial robots, electronic devices, and office automation equipment, due to their high rigidity and accuracy. They come pre-packed with grease, and sufficient lubrication is essential between the cam followers and the steel track to prevent seizure and reduce friction. An appropriate nut is included with the stud.
