The durable enclosures are designed for use in corrosive environments while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing appearance. They feature corner latches for unobstructed access, a continuous hinge for a secure seal, and double latching for added security. The compression-molded fiberglass construction provides exceptional chemical and temperature resistance, and excellent weatherability and physical properties. The fiberglass is easy to modify as it can be punched, drilled, filed, or sawed. A gasket ensures a water-tight and dust-tight seal, while polyester mounting brackets and stainless steel attachment screws are included with each enclosure. Scratch-resistant polycarbonate windows are permanently bonded in place, and molded-in-place threaded brass inserts along with plated steel screws are provided for mounting optional panels and terminal block kits. A removable hinged cover is attached to the body with a Type 316 stainless steel hinge pin, and screw-cover enclosures are secured with two captivated Type 316 stainless steel slotted cover screws. Enclosures equipped with quick-release latches feature corrosion-resistant polyester latches located in the corners for easy access, and the hinge pin and bail are also made from corrosion-resistant Type 316 stainless steel. Each latch includes provisions for padlocks, enhancing security.
