The Iko non-separable yoke type roller follower is a full complement bearing designed to endure heavy rolling or shock loads, featuring an inner ring, side plates, and a thick-walled outer ring. The surface is treated with a black oxide coating for enhanced durability. Roller followers come in two variants: crowned and cylindrical outer rings. The crowned outer ring is specifically designed to alleviate edge load caused by mounting errors, while the cylindrical option is ideal for applications experiencing large loads or low track surface hardness, as it provides a larger contact area with the mating track surface. Proper lubrication is essential between roller followers and the steel track on which cam followers operate, to prevent seizure and reduce friction.
