The IKO non-separable yoke type roller follower is designed as a full complement bearing featuring an inner ring, side plates, and a thick-walled outer ring for enhanced resilience against heavy rolling or shock loads. The surface of the follower is treated with a black oxide coating, ensuring durability. Roller followers are available with either crowned or cylindrical outer rings; the crowned option alleviates edge load issues stemming from mounting errors, while the cylindrical variant is ideal for applications involving substantial loads or low track surface hardness, thanks to its larger contact area with the mating track surface. Additionally, adequate lubrication is essential between the roller followers and the steel track to prevent seizure and minimize friction, ensuring optimal performance.
