The IKO non-separable yoke type roller follower is a full complement bearing featuring an inner ring, side plates, and a thick-walled outer ring designed to withstand heavy rolling or shock loads. Its surface is treated with a black oxide coating for enhanced durability. Roller followers are available with either crowned or cylindrical outer rings; the crowned outer ring helps relieve edge loads caused by mounting errors, while the cylindrical option is ideal for applications involving large loads or low track surface hardness due to its larger contact area with the mating track surface. Sufficient lubrication is essential between the roller followers and the steel track, which the cam followers run on, to prevent seizure and minimize friction.
