The IKO non-separable yoke type roller follower is a full complement bearing designed for heavy rolling or shock loads, featuring an inner ring, side plates, and a thick-walled outer ring that is treated with a black oxide coating. Roller followers are offered with crowned or cylindrical outer rings, where the crowned design alleviates edge load caused by mounting errors, while the cylindrical type is ideal for applications involving large loads or low track surface hardness due to its extensive contact area with the mating track surface. Proper lubrication is essential between the roller followers and the steel track on which cam followers operate to prevent seizure and reduce friction.
