The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ 7447 Pro Hand Pad measures 6" x 9" and features aluminum oxide VFN grit, combining flexibility with effective cutting action and precise hand control for tackling tough cleaning jobs or achieving fine finishing results. This pad contains tightly graded abrasive particles that ensure a consistent, uniform scratch throughout its lifespan. With very fine grade aluminum oxide abrasives, it cuts efficiently while leaving a smooth surface, comparable in performance to steel wool grade 0, but without the rusting or fine metal splinters associated with steel wool. The non-woven, open-web material resists loading and can be used dry, with water, or solvent. It can be applied by hand for precision, used with a hand pad block for uniform finishing, or utilized on an in-line sander for larger areas. The maroon pad employs aluminum oxide, known for its durability, self-fracturing capability, and long life, making it ideal for both woodworking and metalworking applications, including ferrous alloys. The pad is also designed with a perforation in the center for easy tearing by hand, minimizing waste. Suitable applications include surface conditioning, and it is utilized across various industries, including marine.
