The Iko machined type needle roller bearing features a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, designed without an inner ring. These bearings are characterized by low sectional height, large load ratings, and high rigidity, with most models including seals. While prepacked lubricant is generally not included, double sealed bearings (indicated by the suffix UU) come with this feature. It is essential to apply the proper lubricant during use. Typically, machined type needle roller bearings are utilized with shafts that lack inner rings, and it is advisable to maintain a shaft surface finish of 0.2 MRA or less and a hardness within the HRC 58 to 64 range. If meeting these specifications is not feasible, the use of Iko inner rings is recommended.
