Iko machined type needle roller bearing consists of a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, without an inner ring. These bearings feature low sectional height, large load ratings, and rigidity, and they come without seals. Proper lubricant must be applied when they are used, as prepacked grease is not provided for these series. The GTR series comprises full complement bearings with mallet-shaped rollers that are guided by a guide rail and groove to minimize skewing. These bearings are suitable for applications involving heavy loads, shock loads, or oscillating motions. Machined type needle roller bearings are typically used with shafts that lack inner rings, with a recommended shaft surface finish of 0.2 MRA or less and a shaft hardness of HRC 58 to 64. If these requirements cannot be met, the use of Iko inner rings is recommended.
