Iko machined type needle roller bearings consist of a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, and are designed without an inner ring. They feature low sectional height, large load ratings, and rigidity, but do not include seals, requiring proper lubricant application as prepacked grease is not provided for these series. The GTR series includes full complement bearings with mallet-shaped rollers that are guided by a guide rail and groove to minimize skewing, making them suitable for applications subject to heavy loads, shock loads, or oscillating motions. These bearings are typically utilized with shafts lacking inner rings, with a recommended shaft surface finish of 0.2MRA or less and a hardness of HRC 58 to 64. If these specifications cannot be met, the use of Iko inner rings is advised.
