The Iko machined type needle roller bearing features a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, designed without an inner ring. These bearings exhibit a low sectional height, large load ratings, and high rigidity, but do not come with seals. It is essential to apply proper lubricant when using them, as prepacked grease is not included in these series. The GTR series comprises full complement bearings that incorporate mallet-shaped rollers, which are guided by a guide rail and groove to minimize skewing. These bearings are suitable for applications involving heavy loads, shock loads, or oscillating motions. Machined type needle roller bearings are typically utilized with shafts that lack inner rings, and a shaft surface finish of 0.2 MRA or less along with a hardness of HRC 58 to 64 is recommended. In cases where meeting these specifications is not feasible, the use of Iko inner rings is advised.
