IKO machined type needle roller bearings consist of a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, but do not include an inner ring. These bearings feature a low sectional height, large load ratings, and high rigidity, and are designed without seals. Proper lubricant must be applied, as prepacked grease is not provided for these series. The GTR series features full complement bearings with mallet-shaped rollers that are guided by a guide rail and groove to minimize skewing, making them suitable for applications involving heavy loads, shock loads, or oscillating motions. These machined type needle roller bearings are typically utilized with shafts that lack inner rings, with a recommended shaft surface finish of 0.2 MRA or less and a hardness of HRC 58 to 64. If these requirements cannot be met, the use of IKO inner rings is advised.
