The IKO machined type needle roller bearing is designed with a solid outer ring, rollers, and retainer, omitting the inner ring, which results in a low sectional height while offering large load ratings and rigidity. These bearings do not include seals, necessitating the application of appropriate lubricant as prepacked grease is not supplied in these series. The GTR series features full complement bearings equipped with mallet-shaped rollers, guided by a guide rail and groove to minimize skewing, making them suitable for applications involving heavy loads, shock loads, or oscillating motions. Typically, machined type needle roller bearings are utilized with shafts that lack inner rings, with a recommended shaft surface finish of 0.2MRA or less and a hardness of HRC 58 to 64. Should these specifications be unattainable, IKO inner rings are advised for use.
