The Iko machined type needle roller bearing is designed with a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, and notably lacks an inner ring. Characterized by low sectional height, large load ratings, and high rigidity, these bearings do not come with seals. It is essential to apply proper lubricant during use, as prepacked grease is not provided for this series. The GTR series features full complement bearings equipped with mallet-shaped rollers that are guided by a guide rail and groove to reduce skewing. These bearings are ideal for applications subject to heavy loads, shock loads, or oscillating motions and are typically utilized with shafts that do not have inner rings. For optimal performance, a shaft surface finish of 0.2 MRA or less and a hardness range of HRC 58 to 64 are recommended. In situations where these specifications cannot be met, the use of Iko inner rings is advised.
