Iko machined type needle roller bearings consist of a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, without an inner ring. They feature a low sectional height, large load ratings, and rigidity, and are provided without seals. Proper lubricant must be applied during use, as prepacked grease is not included for these series. The GTR series comprises full complement bearings with mallet-shaped rollers that are guided by a guide rail and groove to minimize skewing. These bearings are suitable for applications involving heavy loads, shock loads, or oscillating motions. Machined type needle roller bearings are generally used with shafts that do not have inner rings, and a shaft surface finish of 0.2MRA or less, along with a shaft hardness of HRC 58 to 64, is recommended. In cases where these requirements cannot be met, the use of Iko inner rings is advised.
