IKO machined type needle roller bearing consists of a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, without an inner ring. These bearings feature low sectional height, large load ratings, and high rigidity, and they come without seals. It is essential to apply proper lubricant as prepacked grease is not provided for these series. The GTR series includes full complement bearings with mallet-shaped rollers guided by a guide rail and groove to minimize skewing. These bearings are suitable for applications involving heavy loads, shock loads, or oscillating motions. Machined type needle roller bearings are typically employed with shafts that do not have inner rings, and a shaft surface finish of 0.2MRA or less, along with a shaft hardness of HRC 58 to 64, is recommended. In cases where these requirements cannot be met, the use of IKO inner rings is advised.
