Iko machined type needle roller bearings consist of a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, without an inner ring. They feature a low sectional height and large load ratings, with most models available with or without seals. Prepacked lubricant is not provided except for double sealed bearings (suffix UU), and proper lubricant must be applied during use. These bearings are generally designed for use with shafts that do not have inner rings, with a recommended shaft surface finish of 0.2 MRA or less and a shaft hardness of HRC 58 to 64. In cases where these specifications cannot be met, the use of Iko inner rings is recommended.
