IKO machined type needle roller bearings consist of a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, without an inner ring. They feature a low sectional height, large load ratings, and a righty configuration, with many models available with and without seals. Prepacked lubricant is not provided except for double sealed bearings, which are designated with the suffix UU. Proper lubricant must be applied when these bearings are used. Machined type needle roller bearings are typically employed with shafts that do not have inner rings, and a shaft surface finish of 0.2 MRA or less, along with a hardness of HRC 58 to 64, is recommended. When these specifications cannot be met, the use of IKO inner rings is advised.
