IKO machined type needle roller bearings feature a solid outer ring, rollers, and a retainer, and are designed without an inner ring. These bearings are characterized by a low sectional height and large load ratings, and they are available with or without seals. It is important to note that prepacked lubricant is not included, except for double sealed bearings (designated by the suffix UU), hence proper lubricant must be applied during usage. These bearings are typically employed with shafts that do not utilize inner rings, with an optimal shaft surface finish of 0.2MRA or less and a hardness of HRC 58 to 64 being recommended. If these conditions cannot be met, the use of IKO inner rings is advised.
