The NeatHeat baseboard front cover is constructed from durable polymer, with end caps made of ABS plastic, both of which are melt-proof up to approximately 460 degrees F. This product is specifically designed for use with hot water baseboard heating systems and is not intended for electric baseboard heat. The installation process is straightforward, as NeatHeat effortlessly snaps on over existing baseboard heaters, allowing for a hassle-free application without the need for special tools. It provides a safe alternative by eliminating sharp edges, protecting against accidental contact with sharp fins, making it suitable for homes with children. NeatHeat is compatible with 7-7/8" baseboard units and can be used with common brands such as Slant Fin series #15, #30, and #2000, Sterling series Petite 7, Suntech, and Weil McLain, although users are encouraged to verify specific measurements for proper fit. For lengths exceeding 6 feet (72 inches), additional lengths of NeatHeat can be joined using an optional splice part.
