The foot guards are metal shields designed to be worn over shoes, providing maximum protection to the entire foot, including the instep and toes, against falling, rolling, or flying objects as well as accidental tool blows. They are engineered to withstand an impact of 75 foot pounds, incorporating a substantial safety factor. These foot guards fit any shoe size without distinguishing between right or left, and they come in two widths: 5" (average) and 5-1/2" (large). The guards are lightweight for comfortable all-day wear and feature a rubber toe clip, a crossbar, and either a one-piece rubber strap with a tension buckle or a two-piece leather strap (LS) with a spring fastening device to ensure proper positioning. Available in aluminum alloy or steel, both materials provide equivalent protection. Standard models come with a partial rubber sole and a rubber toe clip, with an option to substitute for a steel toe clip (ST). As per federal regulations, these foot guards meet the ANSI-Z41 standards for safety compliance.
