The foot guards are metal shields designed to provide maximum protection to the entire foot, including the instep and toes, against falling, rolling, or flying objects, as well as accidental tool blows. These guards can withstand an impact of 75 foot pounds and feature a large safety factor. They fit any shoe size without designating right or left, available in 5" (average) and 5-1/2" (large) widths, while being lightweight enough for all-day wear. To ensure proper positioning, the guards include a rubber toe clip, a crossbar, and a choice of either a one-piece rubber strap with a tension buckle or a two-piece leather strap (LS) with a spring fastening device. They are offered in aluminum alloy or steel, both providing equal protection. The standard foot guard is equipped with a partial rubber sole or a rubber toe clip, and it can be optionally substituted with a steel toe clip (ST). According to federal regulations, these foot guards provide protection that meets ANSI-Z41 standards.
