The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 2" diameter by 2" wide with 50 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, providing a fast continuous cut and long-life performance. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping and is designed for use with a die grinder or rotary drill when fitted onto a rubber wheel attachment such as a cushion polishing wheel or rubber slotted expander wheel (sold separately). Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it offers fast cut-rate, durability, and long life across a variety of materials including wood, fiberglass, ferrous alloys, and metalworking applications. The resin bond creates a strong adhesion that withstands high heat and pressure. The bands are available in various widths and lengths to suit different contours and tasks, commonly employed in blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing applications, especially within metal fabrication industries.
