The 3M™ cloth band 341D, measuring 2" diameter by 2" width with 60 grit aluminum oxide, is a spiral band or short tube designed to conform to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping. It features fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, providing fast continuous cut and long-life performance. This versatile band is suitable for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as for shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. The 3M™ abrasive cloth band 341D fits onto rubber wheel attachments such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it is favored in industrial settings for its fast cut rate, durability, and long life and is effective on various materials including ferrous alloys. The resin bond adheres abrasive particles firmly to the cloth backing, allowing it to withstand high heat and pressure. Available in multiple widths and lengths, it is often used in foundry work and applications such as blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing in metal fabrication industries.
