The 3M™ Cloth Band 341D measures 3 inches in diameter and 2 inches in width with 36 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping, featuring fast-cutting aluminum oxide grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing for fast continuous cut and long-life performance. Designed for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, it is also suitable for shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. The 341D cloth band fits onto a rubber wheel attachment such as a cushion polishing wheel or a rubber slotted expander wheel, both sold separately, for use with a die grinder or rotary drill. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it is favored in industrial applications for its fast cut rate, durability, and long life, working effectively on ferrous alloys and a wide variety of materials in woodworking and metalworking. The resin bond adheres abrasive particles firmly to the cloth backing, withstanding high heat and pressure.
