The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 3 inches in diameter by 3 inches in width and features 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains. This spiral band or short tube is designed to conform to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping. It is constructed with fast-cutting aluminum oxide grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, providing a fast continuous cut and long-life performance. The band is versatile, suitable for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. The 341D fits onto rubber wheel attachments such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels, which are compatible with die grinders or rotary drills. It is made with aluminum oxide mineral, favored for fast cut-rate, durability, and longevity, usable on various materials including ferrous alloys in woodworking and metalworking. The abrasive particles are bonded to the cloth with resin, ensuring resistance to high heat and pressure.
