The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 3 inches in diameter and 3 inches in width with P120 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains. It is a spiral band or short tube designed to conform to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping. The fast-cutting aluminum oxide grains are resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, providing fast continuous cutting and long-life performance. The band is versatile and suitable for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as for shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. It fits onto rubber wheel attachments such as a cushion polishing wheel or a rubber slotted expander wheel (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, this abrasive product is known for its durability, fast cut rate, and longevity, making it common in industrial applications. The abrasive particles are strongly bonded to the cloth backing with resin to withstand high heat and pressure. These bands are available in various widths and lengths to accommodate different contours and tasks, frequently used in foundry work for blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing in metal fabrication.
