The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 3/4" diameter by 1" width with 36 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, providing fast continuous cutting performance and long life. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding, shaping, grinding, and smoothing various materials such as wood, fiberglass, ferrous alloys, and other metals. It is designed to fit onto rubber wheel attachments like cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. The aluminum oxide abrasive mineral is known for its fast cut rate, durability, and versatility across woodworking and metalworking applications, including blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing. The resin bond creates a strong adhesion that withstands high heat and pressure. These bands are available in a range of widths and lengths to accommodate different contours and tasks and are commonly used in metal fabrication and foundry work.
