The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 3/4" diameter by 1" width and is made with p120 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, providing fast continuous cut and long-life performance. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping and is designed for use on a wide variety of materials including wood, fiberglass, ferrous alloys, and metal. It fits onto a rubber wheel attachment such as a cushion polishing wheel or a rubber slotted expander wheel (both sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, the cloth band offers fast cut-rate, durability, and long life, with abrasive particles adhered to cloth backing by resin to withstand high heat and pressure. The bands come in various widths and lengths to accommodate different contours and tasks, commonly applied in foundry work. Key applications include blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing in metal fabrication industries.
