The 3M™ abrasive cloth band 341D measures 3/4" diameter by 1" wide and features P150 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing for fast continuous cut and long-life performance. Designed as a spiral band or short tube, it conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping. This versatile abrasive band fits onto a rubber wheel attachment, such as a cushion polishing wheel or rubber slotted expander wheel (sold separately), for use with a die grinder or rotary drill. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it offers a fast cut rate, durability, and long life, suitable for woodworking, metalworking, and ferrous alloys. The strong resin bond withstands high heat and pressure, making it ideal for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. The bands come in various widths and lengths to accommodate different contours and are frequently used in foundry work and metal fabrication. Applications include blending corners, contour finishing, deburring (including internal diameters), grinding, and polishing. The product is primarily used in the metal fabrication industry.
