The 3M™ Cloth Band 341D is a 3/4" diameter by 3/4" wide spiral band made with 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, designed for fast continuous cutting and long-life performance. This abrasive cloth band conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping, suitable for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. It fits onto rubber wheel attachments such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it is favored in industrial applications for its fast cut rate, durability, and use on a wide variety of materials including ferrous alloys. The resin bonding ensures a strong adherence of abrasive particles to the cloth backing, allowing resistance to high heat and pressure. Available in various widths and lengths to accommodate different contours and tasks, it is commonly used in foundry work and metal fabrication industries. Key applications include blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing internal diameters.
