The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 1" diameter by 1" width and features 50 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing designed for fast continuous cutting and long-life performance. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding, shaping, grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. It fits onto rubber wheel attachments such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, the band is known for its fast cut-rate, durability, and suitability for a wide variety of materials including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking applications. The abrasive particles bonded with resin create a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure. Available in a range of widths and lengths for various contours and tasks, it is commonly used in metal fabrication, blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing.
