The 3M™ cloth band 341D is a 1" diameter by 1" wide abrasive band featuring P120 grit aluminum oxide grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, designed as a spiral band or short tube that conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping. This fast-cutting abrasive provides continuous cut and long life performance, suitable for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. The 341D band fits onto rubber wheel attachments such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it is widely used in industrial applications for its fast cut-rate, durability, and applicability to a wide range of materials including ferrous alloys. The resin bond creates a strong adhesive that withstands high heat and pressure. These bands are available in various widths and lengths to fit different contours and tasks, often utilized in foundry work for applications including blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing in metal fabrication industries.
