The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 1" diameter by 1-1/2" width and features 60 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing for fast continuous cut and long-life performance. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping and is suitable for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. It fits onto a rubber wheel attachment such as a cushion polishing wheel or a rubber slotted expander wheel (both sold separately) for use with a die grinder or rotary drill. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, the band is well-regarded for its fast cut-rate, durability, and suitability across a wide variety of materials including ferrous alloys in woodworking and metalworking applications. The abrasive particles bonded with resin withstand high heat and pressure. Available in various widths and lengths to accommodate different contours and tasks, these bands are commonly used in foundry work and metal fabrication, with applications encompassing blending corners, contour finishing, deburring, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing both internal and external metal surfaces.
