The 3M™ cloth band 341D is a 1" diameter by 1-1/2" wide abrasive band made with 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, providing fast continuous cut and long-life performance. Designed as a spiral band or short tube, it conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding, shaping, and smoothing wood, fiberglass, and a wide variety of metals including ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles adhere strongly to the backing with resin to withstand high heat and pressure. This versatile band fits onto rubber wheel attachments such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Commonly used in metal fabrication and foundry work, the band is ideal for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as blending corners, contour finishing, deburring, polishing, and grinding internal diameters. The 341D cloth band is noted for its durability, fast cut-rate, and long life in industrial applications.
