The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 1/2" diameter by 1" width and features 60 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing for fast continuous cutting and long-life performance. This spiral band or short tube is designed to conform to inner and outer contours, making it suitable for sanding, shaping, blending corners, contour finishing, deburring, grinding, and polishing, including polishing internal diameters. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it offers a fast cut rate, durability, and is ideal for use on a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. The bands fit onto rubber wheel attachments such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. The abrasive particles are strongly bonded to the cloth backing with resin to withstand high heat and pressure. The product is commonly used in metal fabrication and foundry work, available in various widths and lengths to accommodate different contours and tasks.
